It’s a very difficult time- a new ICT company with little experience entering a new market ‘’ with HOPE ‘’, I will say. Even though, the global recession and change of government is reflecting on Ghana’s economy. Yet still, The ICT sector should be booming in the near future as predicted.
For many years, some of us have no idea about the internet and emails until we were out of school. I can’t imagine some still do not have access to information and tools. The economy seems to be affected heavily by high inflation rate, high fuel prices, and instability of the foreign currency. ‘’Market of hope’’ Recently, Ghana has discovered a commercial proportions of offshore oil equivalent of 600 million barrels which is expected to fuel an economic boost for Ghana in the coming years.
With oil production starts in the fourth quarter of 2010, is seemingly great news for Ghana. Ghana may also agree on terms with the international monetary fund (IMF) on $ 1billion loan within the next couple of days, and approval of $ 535 million package from the World Bank. The country’s internal revenue service (IRS),has also introduce a new method of revenue collection from manual system to system management software (MS)….and will fully computerised nationwide by 2011. Thanks to ICT.
Now, the ICT Company needs a strategy to penetrate through this competitive market with the recession and change of government. Can this company sustain before the economic boom in the near future???Should the company enter the market at the first place????Is it a failure???
